JR. JAZZ BASKETBALL

Registration starts
Monday, August 16

South Davis Recreation Jr. Jazz is the second largest youth baskeball program in the state.  We have had over 2,500 partipants, coming from our five cities that make up our district(Bountiful, Centerville, North Salt Lake, West Bountiful and Woods Cross) plus other surrounding cities. 

With your registration you will receive a reversable jersey, Utah Jazz game ticket, and Utah Jazz player apperance. 

RECREATIONAL LEAGUE
1st Session:
Grades - 3rd through 6th
Registration Dates - Aug 16th through Sept 18
*League will run the 2nd week of Oct through mid Dec, each team will play 8 games*  

2nd Session:
Grades - 3rd through 12th
Registration Date - Nov 8th through Dec 9th
*League will run the 2nd week of Jan through mid March*
**3rd - 6th grades will play 8 games
***7th - 12th grades will play 7 games with a single elimation tournament

Girls are highly encouraged to register, however if we fail to receive enough participants we will cancel the league

Instrctional League
This league is specifically designed for the beginning basketball player.  Participants will learn the basic fundamentals of basketball so that they can compete in the Jr. Jazz league.     
This league is for 1st-2nd graders only.

1st Session: 1st-2nd grade only
Registration begins Aug 16th
Registration Deadline Sept 25th
*League will run Oct 19th - Nov 23rd*

2nd session:  1st-2nd grade only
Registration begins Nov 8th
Registration deadline Dec 18th
*League will run January 25th - March 1st*


Pricing

› 1st-2nd Grade:   Member $30  Non-Member $35 (instructional league only)
 
› 3rd-6th Grade:    Member $45  Non-Member $50
 
› 7th-12th Grade:  Member $55  Non-Member $60
 (9th-12th grades must register as a team with a coach 21 years or older)
 
› Competitive League (5th-9th grade only):  $400 per team
 (competitive league has graduated rules and competitive levels by age.  Available to the first 8 teams that sign up.  Must sign up as a team)

› Jammin' Shorts (Optional):  $8

› Late registration:  $10/player (late registration will only be taken for 1 week after deadline)

 *THIS PROGRAM STRICTLY RUNS ON  VOLUNTEER PARENTS WHO COACH THESE TEAMS. WHEN YOU REGISTER YOUR SON OR DAUGHTER PLEASE SIGNUP TO BE A COACH OR ASSISTANT.  THE  SUCCESS  OF THE PROGRAM COMES FROM THE MANY VOLUNTEERS WHO TAKE TIME TO SPEND WITH OUR YOUTH.*

Competitive Leagues
This is for teams with players who have advanvced skills and are looking to pursue more in depth baskeball training, knowledge and competition. This is for teams that have players that are currently in the 5th - 9th grade. With your registration you will receive 7 league games and a single elimination tournament.

1st Session
Team Divisions: 5th - 9th grade
Cost: $400.00 per team
Signups: August 23-September 25 
*Limited to first 8 teams in each division*

2nd Session
