Fitness Class Descriptions

We work diligently to bring our members the best workout routines, the latest in fitness trends and information to help you maintain and achieve your fitness goals.

Core Fusion Core awareness was the focus when we created this one of a kind fitness class. This format gives you an exciting mixture of Pilates, Yoga and the latest exercises to strengthen your abdominal muscles while engaging your entire core.  It’s easy, fun to do, and the results will shock you to the core!

Cardio Tone Experience various aerobic drills and strength exercises with this easy to follow along format.  This class will keep your heart pumping while toning your muscles.

Kids Classes Be it Zumbatomic (Zumba for kids), Yoga or Cardio drills these classes are for ages 8-15. Our instructors are trained and ready to help the youth in our community learn about the importance of fitness, while having fun.

Pilates Do you want longer leaner muscles?  Joseph Pilates knew what he was doing when he began his body sculpting workout in the 1930’s.  All fitness levels are welcome and encouraged to try out this ultimate full body workout.  We have the mats and equipment you will need.

Power Tone Feeling a little weak or having trouble lifting things?  Using a combination of free weights, Versa bars and your own body weight, this class is designed to get your muscles toned and make you strong again.

Step/ Two Step Using a raised platform or two and fun choreography this class will get you into shape and make you feel great.  Adjust your bench height to a fitness level that is right for you.

Total Cardio This non- choreographed, non -weight bearing class will challenge you to reach your full aerobic potential.  A variety of high energy cardio intervals will get you into the best shape of your life.

Turbo Kick Box Looking to give your old fitness routine a kick?  In the late 1990’s a new fitness trend emerged, and Billy Blanks’ Tae Bo videos were the first to bring kick boxing to the mainstream. Kick Boxing has remained a great way to burn fat and increase cardiac endurance.   Martial arts-style kicks and punches are woven into a cardio workout that’s fun and challenging.

Yoga/Restorative Yoga/ Power Yoga Six thousand years of Yoga enthusiasts can’t be wrong. Indulge in a workout for the mind and the body. Build strength, gain flexibility and achieve better balance in an atmosphere that calms the body and soothes the soul.  All three classes are designed to help the beginner and the most dedicated Yogi.

Zumba Come join the latest craze in fitness, so much fun you’ll forget you’re working out!  Latin and international rhythms along with easy to follow dance steps create a dynamic, exciting and effective fitness training system. No dance experience necessary. Booty shaking required.  Cross train sneakers or dance shoes highly recommended.

Hot Hula fitness is a fun dance workout that provides a total body workout with emphasis on the abs, glutes, quads & arms.  Inspired by the dances of the Pacific Islands, Hot Hula incorporates easy to perform dance movements set to the sounds of traditional Polynesian drumbeats fused with funky Reggae music.

 

Cycle Class descriptions

Our cycle team is dedicated to bringing the outside cycling experience indoors. We strive to maintain the integrity of form while creating a fun cardio riding experience that will challenge your endurance and build strength, all in an effort to help you maintain and achieve your fitness goals.

Our Cycle Studio is located on the main floor adjacent to the skate rental. You must sign up for these classes at the front desk in person, no sooner than one hour before class time. Scanning your membership card or paying a drop in fee is required at check in.  You may not sign up additional members that are not present. Participants later than 5 minutes will forfeit their bike to those on the waiting list. Towels are now mandatory to help keep maintenance costs down. Cycle shoes are encouraged, but not required.

Beginning Cycle This 30 minute class is designed to help the first time rider as well as the beginner. Come once to get you started or join us weekly for an express ride workout.

Cycle Ride to the highest peaks and lowest valleys, during this fun indoor cycling class. High energy music is used to enhance your ride and get you into the best shape of your life.

Seasonal Cycle These classes were added at peak season to help keep our avid outdoor riders and cycle class enthusiasts in the best physical shape possible over the winter.  Classes will run January 1st through April 30th.

Cycle Club Cycle classes will be added throughout the season to help members that desire more of a challenge or additional classes to fit their needs. These 8 week courses will require pre- registration and carry additional fees.   Please watch for information and details.
